About LipoDissolve
What is LipoDissolve?
- A non-surgical medical procedure for reducing stubborn fat deposits
which are resistant to diet and exercise.
- Use of a standardized formula with standardized techniques established
by The American Society of Aesthetic Lipodissolve.
What happens to the fat?
Ongoing research supports the following series of events:
- The solution disrupts the fat cell walls
- In a chain reaction, natural
enzymes dissolve the fat released from the cells
- Triglycerides and fatty
acids are transported away for metabolism under normal processes, resulting
in smaller fat cells
- Surrounding inflammation leads to new collagen formation
and smooth skin retraction
How Safe is LIPODISSOLVE?
Through 2004, more than 18,000 treatments were performed by 429 ASAL-affiliated
member physicians (now 30,000 treatments).
No reports of serious infections, large hematomas, scarring, or prolonged
skin discoloration.

Fact
|
Lipodissolve is just another form of
mesotherapy, what’s the difference?
|
Mesotherapy and lipodissolve are definitely
not the same. Regrettably, the terms are often confused. Lipodissolve
is a medical procedure that uses standardized protocols for subcutaneous
micro-injections with the sole purpose of dissolving fat. Mesotherapy
on the other hand are injections delivered into the hypodermis layer
and can contain a combination of vitamins, minerals, amino acids
and medications to treat a variety of medical conditions.
|
| Lipodissolve is just another weight loss
craze. |
This is not a weight loss program; it’s
a medically supervised and is Physician Administered at Marlow Laser
Aesthetics. The series of injections will remove localized fat deposits
and shape your body. Lipodissolve should be thought of in terms of
inches lost not, pounds. The loss of inches makes it possible for many
people to wear clothing one or two sizes smaller than before the procedure.
|
| The ingredients in lipodissolve are hazardus. |
Recent studies (1) indicate that when
practiced by licensed and certified physicians, the safety record
for lipo-dissolve is excellent. This supports our doctors’ experiences, which
has proven lipodissolve very safe. Marlow Laser Aesthetics maintains
the highest standards and treatment protocols to ensure the safety
of our patients.
|
| Lipodissolve is not approved by the FDA,
and therefore is unsafe and illegal. |
Pharmacies are permitted to compound drugs
pursuant to a valid patient/physician/pharmacist relationship - even
if the drugs have not been approved by the FDA.
Pharmacy compounding has an exemplary safety profile, and there is
no reason to assume that compounded drugs are unsafe.
|
| Lipodissolve is new and not proven. |
Lipodissolve has been available in Europe
for more than a decade, and is becoming increasingly popular in the
United States. Marlow Laser Aesthetics is the only Physicians office
where you will receive Doctor Administered LipoDissolve, and has a
record of excellent results. See the before and after pictures above
and judge for yourself.
|
| People have had severe problems from
lipodissolve. |
As with all medical procedures and injections,
certain risks are involved. All patients are provided an informed consent
form which identifies potential risks prior to receiving the procedure.
Dr. Marlow routinely
perform these procedures and our patients have very few if any complications.
Moreover, to our knowledge and according to widely published medical
literature to date, there have been no reported cases of long term
adverse side effects.
|
| After lipodissolve there will be loose skin,
just as there is with liposuction. |
Lipodissolve removes much smaller amounts
of fat than liposuction, and in many cases has the effect of causing
skin to retract, making the skin in the treated area tighter and more
youthful than before.
|
| The injected formula destroys everything
in the area, not just the fat. |
Dispersion studies (2) show that the compounded
formula travels less than one centimeter beyond the treatment area,
and leaves the body within 24 hours. Therefore, if properly injected
the only cells being destroyed are the fat cells into which the formula
is injected.
|
| It isn’t possible to know what is
in the lipodissolve formula. |
Marlow Laser Aesthetics compound is produced
by a state-licensed compounding pharmacy under sterile conditions and
dispensed by prescription from a physician who has examined the patient
and established a treatment plan for him or her.
|
| What is the difference between Physician
Administered and not? |
Marlow Laser Aesthetics' Dr, Lea
Marlow will perform the procedure, unlike the usual environment where
a Technician does the work.
Our patients are assured a high level of care, overseen by highly qualified
medical professionals.
